During a special election on May 4, the Northwest ISD community elected DeAnne Hatfield to fill the vacant Place 1 seat on the NISD Board of Trustees. For more information, click here.

Special Election Called for May 4, 2019 to Fill Vacant Seat

The Northwest ISD Board of Trustees ordered a Special Election to be held May 4, 2019 for the purpose of filling Place 1.  The Place 1 seat was previously held by Josh Wright who resigned from the School Board. Following are the candidates who have filed for Place 1.

2019 Northwest ISD Board of Trustees Election, Place 3 and Place 4  - Election Cancelled

The general election scheduled to be held on May 4, 2019 was cancelled by the NISD Board of Trustees at a Special Board Meeting on February 21. Candidates for both Place 3 and Place 4 were certified as unopposed.

The NISD School Board approved the Texas Association of School Boards Culture of Voting Resolution, which encourages educators, students and community members to exercise their rights to vote. Potential voters can obtain registration materials and resources at www.votetexas.gov, where current voters can also gather materials to update their information.
