Prekindergarten Program Information

Northwest ISD Pre-Kindergarten

Online prekindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open!
Go to Enrollment Online for New Students to register

Students must also meet the prekindergarten eligibility criteria in order to qualify for prekindergarten.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 emergency, Northwest ISD is not able to complete the qualifying portion of the 2020-2021 prekindergarten registration process at this time. Families should first complete the online portion of the prekindergarten registration process. Your campus will contact families with information to  complete the qualifying  portions of the registration process when the district resumes normal operations.

Registration is not considered complete until both qualifying and registration portions are complete.

Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year NISD will
offer full-day Pre-K for qualifying students at Prairie View Elementary and Clara Love Elementary

Please read the following information regarding full-day Pre-K classes

To participate in full-day Pre-K students must qualify according to state guidelines listed below and reside in the Prairie View or Seven Hills attendance area to attend Prairie View Elementary.
To attend full-day Pre-K at Clara Love students must qualify according to the state guidelines listed below and reside in the
Clara Love attendance area.

We anticipate that interest in these full-day classes will exceed the spaces that are available.

If the number of students qualifying for the full-day program exceeds the number of spaces available, a drawing will be held  once registration has closed and we have qualified all students for Pre-K. Any students not drawn will be offered 1/2 day Pre-K at Seven Hills or Hatfield Elementary. When registering online for PreK, please indicate your home campus and if you prefer AM or PM.

According to TEA (Texas Education Agency) regulations we cannot maintain a waitlist for students who qualify for Pre-K.
There will be spaces in an NISD 1/2 day class either at Seven Hills or Hatfield Elementary for qualifying students that are not drawn for the full-day class.
If a space opens in the full-day class, students that were not drawn initially, meet the eligibility and attendance guidelines for full-day Pre-K and are currently enrolled at Seven Hills or Hatfield will be offered a transfer to the full-day class according to the order in which they were drawn.
