A NASA rocket blasts off

Registration for Northwest ISD's Summer Science Blast Off camp is now open, allowing second- to fifth-grade students with the opportunity to explore, discover and investigate deeper into science explorations than they ever have before.

Two sets of one-week classes are $105 each, with each lasting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday at Pike Middle School. The first session will take place June 11-14, while the second session will take place June 18-21. Families can enroll their children in both sessions, if desired.

Each week of the camp will provide different science, math or technology activities for attendees. Examples of topics include robotics and coding, slimy technology adventures, herpetologist studies (studying snakes, including dissections), natural disaster experiments and more.
