Northwest's one-act play company

Northwest High School’s one-act play has advanced to the bi-district round of UIL competition following a strong performance in the district round of competition.

The Texans competed in the district round on Friday, March 22, at Lake Dallas High School, earning multiple awards in addition to advancing as a group for their performance of Lauren Gunderson’s “Ada and the Engine.” Individuals receiving awards include Kaylee Simpson, outstanding technician; Cora Cravey and Joe Skipper, all-star cast; and Joseph Tester, honorable mention all-star cast.

Northwest’s one-act play company is led by the direction of Laura Skipper, theatre director.

The Texans will perform in the bi-district round on Tuesday, March 26, at Chisholm Trail High School.
