Byron Nelson High School

Byron Nelson High School will host its sixth annual Taste & Talent PTSA fundraiser from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, April 1, when community members can dine from a variety of local vendors while seeing and hearing the school’s fine arts talent.

More than 20 local food vendors will be on hand to serve fundraiser attendees, including Byron Nelson’s culinary academy, Burger Street, Chick-fil-A, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Reno Red’s and more. While dining, attendees will be entertained by local talent, including Byron Nelson’s band ensembles, guitar club, Bobcat Dazzlers drill team, musical theatre program and more.

In addition to food and live performances, several activities will be available for younger attendees. Balloon creations, fire truck and ambulance tours (led by the Trophy Club Fire Department, simulated drunk driving carts (by the Trophy Club Police Department) and rodeo roping activities (by the North Texas Rodeo Association) will all be available. Art galleries of student creations can also be toured during the fundraiser. For adults, both live and silent auctions will be available.

Tickets for the fundraiser are just $5 for students and $10 for adults.

The fundraiser annually attracts about 400 to 500 community members, with their monetary support directly benefiting Byron Nelson High School. In 2016, the fundraiser earned nearly $10,000 for senior scholarships and PTSA programs, a total the organization hopes to exceed this year.
