The Byron Nelson High School FFA veterinary science team will compete in the 89th annual National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis in October, pitting themselves against high school peers from across the U.S.

Byron Nelson students representing their school in the event include Lauren Hartmann, Jennifer Powell, Kylie Scott, Madison Staab and Matea Tirado. Staff members advising the team include Tyler McCoy, Amanda Deal and Mark Goggins.

The National FFA Convention & Expo serves as a springboard for high school students to learn more about opportunities in agriculture and other related industries. Keynote speakers, workshops and competitions all help prepare students for their future endeavors.
