A Destination Imagination team from Northwest High School has qualified for the Global Finals of the problem-solving competition following a strong finish at the state meet.

Northwest’s “THAT Better Team!” finished third in the maze craze competition at the state meet, qualifying it for the Destination Imagination Global Finals. The team is composed of Cileigh Gildenblatt, Clark Strong and Anna Thornell; it is led by managers Carolynn Strong and Heidi Watson.

In the maze craze competition, teams design and build devices to navigate a maze. They also have to complete other challenges involving the maze, such as finding a way to extract a prop they created from it.

The team will travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for the Global Finals, which will take place May 23-26.
