Members of the Eaton High School band perform at halftime of a football game

Please be aware that Northwest ISD Stadium will host the Region 2 UIL Marching Band Contest for nearby 3A to 6A schools tomorrow, Oct. 25. This competition will result in increased traffic for the full duration of the day around central complex campuses (including Hatfield Elementary School, Pike Middle School and Northwest High School) and offices.

The contest will last from roughly 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with buses and trucks from nearby schools dropping off students and equipment for their performances. During this time, parking on both sides of Texan Stadium will be reserved for these vehicles, with the exception of parking for Northwest ISD buses and bus drivers.

Spectators of the contest are encouraged to park across the street from Hatfield, in front of the Northwest baseball and softball fields, though central complex staff should expect increased visitor parking around the area. For spectators with disabilities, handicap-accessible parking is available in front of the ticket booth by Northwest ISD Stadium, next to the administration building.

All drivers around the central complex should be mindful of pedestrians as the contest is ongoing. Please abide by the posted speed limit of 20 miles per hour at all times and provide pedestrians with their right of way when crossing the street.

For those interested in viewing Northwest ISD’s marching bands perform, Eaton will play at 11 a.m., Northwest will play at 11:30 a.m. and Byron Nelson will play at 1:45 p.m. Concessions will be available on the home side of the stadium.

Thank you for your assistance as we accommodate guests to Northwest ISD – we appreciate our community’s support in providing a welcoming environment.
