Announcement Icon UPDATE: Donations at district schools have now closed. Thanks to everyone who donated for their support of Hurricane Harvey evacuees.

Northwest ISD schools, in coordination with the Northwest ISD Council of PTAs, are currently accepting donations for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Each district campus is serving as a drop-off location for donations that will go directly to organizations assisting hurricane evacuees. Donated items should be provided at the front office areas of schools, where they will be collected for sending to aid organizations.

Items specifically requested by aid groups for donation are as follows:

  • Clothing – specifically socks, underwear and warmups for all age groups and genders (preferably new or lightly used clothing)
  • Shoes (preferably new or lightly used)
  • Toiletries – specifically toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Hygiene products
  • Baby items – specifically formula, wipes, bottles, diapers and Graco Pack n’ Plays

If you are hosting a hurricane evacuee and need assistance with school supplies, please contact the district’s Partners in Education program for assistance. Phil Beckman, Partners in Education specialist, can be reached by phone at 817-215-0172 or via email at pbeckman@nisdtx.org.

Thank you for your compassion and giving spirit in the face of tragedy affecting our fellow Texans!
