The preliminary plan of Elementary School No. 19

Northwest ISD will begin construction of the district’s 19th elementary school in May 2018 in the Harvest master-planned community, located in Argyle and Northlake, with an anticipated opening in 2019.

The campus will make use of the district’s new elementary prototype design, meaning it will also be used in subsequent elementary schools. Elementary School No. 19 will be the district’s second elementary school under construction, as the 18th is currently being built near U.S. Highway 287, F.M. 156 and Bonds Ranch Road in the southern portion of the district.

Elementary School No. 19 will be built by Joeris General Contractors, which is working with the architecture firm designing the school, Huckabee, as construction nears.

At the district’s most recent board meeting on Oct. 23, trustees also approved the purchase of a 148-acre school site in Northlake, located in the general vicinity of Elementary School No. 19. This school site is anticipated to be used for a future high school, middle school and stadium complex. No specific timeline currently exists for these schools to open, as school construction is influenced by enrollment growth in different areas of the district and whether voters approve bonds funding construction.
