The board unanimously approved Dr. Warren’s recommendation to promote Dr. Caley to the role.

“I am honored to recommend Dr. Caley this evening,” Dr. Warren said. “She joined the Northwest ISD family in 1999 and has made a wonderful reputation for herself. I am very proud of all she has accomplished.”

Dr. Caley’s is no stranger to the role, having served as the interim assistant superintendent for administrative services until her full-time appointment to the position. She has held many leadership positions in Northwest ISD such as executive director of human resources, principal of Carl E. Schluter Elementary School during its inaugural year, and principal and assistant principal at J. Lyndal Hughes Elementary School. She additionally served district families as an assistant principal and a campus instructional teacher at Justin Elementary School.

“Hiring and retaining excellent teachers and staff is critical to the mission of Northwest ISD,” Dr. Caley said. “I am looking forward to expanding my role to ensure Northwest ISD continues to hire and retain quality educators and support staff while providing quality health insurance and benefits for NISD employees and their families.”

Dr. Caley has a doctorate in educational leadership with a concentration in human resources from Nova Southeastern University, and a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University. In 2013, Dr. Caley was selected to participate in the Harvard Evolving Leadership Conference.

As assistant superintendent for administrative services, she will oversee all human resources functions, employee benefits and risk management. Caley will begin her new position immediately and will begin the hiring process for a new executive director of human resources this fall.
