Northwest High School’s Student Council will host the Texans’ 2017 homecoming parade and pep rally on Wednesday, Oct. 4, inviting the community to take part in festivities.

The events, which will also include a fireworks show, are scheduled to last from 5 to 10 p.m. The parade, which will take place along Texan Drive (from Northwest High School to Northwest ISD Stadium), will last from 5:30 to 7 p.m., immediately followed by the pep rally. The fireworks show will take place later during the celebration.

A carnival will take place at the Box Agricultural Science Center (located near the transportation building) for the duration of the festivities. A $5 entry will grant unlimited access to several activities, including bungee running, human foosball, a mechanical bull, hamster ball racing and more.

Northwest’s football team will take on the Brewer Bears on Friday, Oct. 6. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and the crowning of homecoming king and queen will take place at halftime.
