The new Northwest ISD smartphone app

Northwest ISD has launched its new smartphone app, providing parents, students and staff with a one-stop location for all their district-related needs.

The new app, which is available for iPhone and Android smartphones, provides quick access to important district services such as meal payments, grades, online courses and more. Additionally, the app provides quick information on all Northwest ISD schools, allowing users to quickly get GPS directions to a campus, contact a school immediately by phone, or view its website and social media accounts.

Perhaps most importantly, parents and students can select home campuses within the app to receive up-to-date news and calendar entries synced directly from each school’s website.

Emily Conklin, Northwest ISD director of communications, said the new app provides another avenue for community members to stay updated on school events and allows parents to quickly access important accounts.

“With this app, we’re giving people two options – the app or our new responsive website – to easily get where they need to go for all Northwest ISD information,” she said. “A responsive design means our full website is accessible through mobile devices, but for parents, students and staff who want to quickly get school information or make changes in district accounts, our app provides a great solution. Best of all, they work seamlessly with each other, so there’s no downside to either.”
