NISD offers health insurance through TRS-ActiveCare 


The District also subscribes to an Employee Assistance Program through Alliance Work Partners that is offered at no cost to all employees and members of their households. The District provides $15,000 of Life Insurance to all employees. Other voluntary benefits include a Cigna high dental plan, Cigna low dental plan and Cigna Alternative Choice Plan; a long-term disability plan offered by American Fidelity Assurance Company; vision plans from Ameritas Vision ; supplemental accident plan through MetLife and supplemental cancer insurance plan through Guardian. Employees have the option to participate in a Medical Flexible Spending as well as a Dependent Care Account using pre-taxed contributions. iLock 360 is also available for identity protection.
